InVision Eye Health is looking for a full-time Optometric Technician. Our technicians work closely with our doctors to provide the best patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills. Candidate must be computer literate. Candidate should be able to work with patients compassionately and effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work as a team player.
Job Description: Perform comprehensive preliminary tests on patients and assist the doctors in performing eye examinations. Provide pertinent information to help doctors diagnose and treat patients.
Job Duties:
- Actively assist doctors by taking patient medical histories; instruct patients about tests and procedures; efficiently perform various vision tests; and other duties as directed by doctors
- Effectively communicate instructions to patients; follow up with patients
- Teach and educate patients about their exam, doctor recommendations, and contact lens care
- Manage contact lens orders, returns, and inventory
- Attend department and office training and educational opportunities
- Maintain supplies and equipment
- Maintain clean and organized examination rooms and testing areas
- Understand medical terminology and HIPPA compliance
- Perform other duties as requested
