Job Summary
Tomacelli's Pizza & Pasta is hiring a Pizza Team Member to support daily pizza preparation, food service, customer orders, and restaurant operations. This role assists with preparing ingredients, assembling pizzas and menu items, serving customers, maintaining clean work areas, and supporting the team during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, cheeses, toppings, and other ingredients
- Assemble pizzas and menu items according to recipes and customer orders
- Assist with cooking pizzas and operating kitchen equipment safely
- Prepare and package dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to complete orders efficiently
- Restock ingredients, beverages, packaging, and restaurant supplies
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, preparation, and service areas
- Wash and sanitize utensils, equipment, and food preparation surfaces
- Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties
- Support team members during busy and high-volume service periods
- Perform additional pizza and food service duties assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous pizza, restaurant, food service, kitchen, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Basic math and payment-handling abilities
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a pizzeria or Italian restaurant
- Familiarity with pizza ovens, kitchen equipment, and POS systems
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
