Role Description
Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Operators support a myriad of military and commercial customers around the globe. Applicants must be willing to deploy overseas or onboard a maritime vessel. Operators must become certified on the OEM’s system as UAS Pilots and/or Maintenance Technicians prior to deployment.
Requirements:
Current FAA class II medical certificate
Current FAA Part 107 certificate
Must have a US DoD security clearance
Ability to evaluate customer's mission requirements and determine appropriate system utilization to meet customer operational needs.
Conduct preflight planning to include mission briefings, analyzing weather forecasts, checking Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), Special Instructions (SPINs) and airspace requirements.
Coordinate mission specifics with UAS crew and Air Traffic Control (ATC) and review Airspace Control Plan and Mission Logs.
Execute customer mission requirements through the successful delivery of full motion video and/or specialized payload data.
Complete post-mission reporting requirements.
Perform UAS equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance. If required coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to resolve issues beyond the scope of field troubleshooting.
Perform and document maintenance actions, as required
Assist with inventory of UAS spares/components and reports cycle counts.
Conduct on-site technical training, if certified and required
Ability to pass a Company background investigation.

Desired:
Previous military qualification on a Group 2/3 VTOL system.
VTOL UAS experience
Maritime UAS operational experience
Military/Civilian aviation experience as a manned military pilot, navigator, weapons systems officer, weapons controller, flight engineer or aircrew. This also includes FAA private/commercial pilot, A&P certifications.
3 years of prior deployed experience with UAS or manned aircraft flight operations in land and/or maritime environments.
Prior leadership/management experience.
DoD Secret security clearance with a current background investigation.
Additional relevant foreign language fluency
Experience operating and/or maintaining UAS platforms comparable to current customer systems.
Experience delivering system training.
A high degree of computer literacy: prior experience with software/hardware installation, knowledge of computer networking to include TCP/IP, Ethernet, and fiber optics.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to pass customer-mandated Medical / Dental / Psychological pre-deployment screening processes.
Ability to work in small, cramped spaces.
Ability to ascent/descend stairs, ladders and ramps while carrying up to 40 lbs.
Ability to bend and /or twist legs, arms and body within normal range of motion
Ability to stand and walk without rest for at least two hours.
Ability to perform required job duties outdoors in conditions that may include extreme high and low temperatures, rain, snow, and high winds.
Education Requirements:
Associates degree in a related discipline or 3 or more years of related experience
