Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for an Air Vehicle Operator (AVO). The AVO will be responsible for operating Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in support of various ISR missions, ensuring precision in flight planning, mission execution, and data collection. Responsibilities include conducting pre-flight and post-flight checks, maintaining operational readiness, adhering to regulatory standards, and collaborating with the mission team. The AVO will also compile detailed mission reports and troubleshoot any flight-related technical challenges as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current or ability to obtain FAA Class II Medical Certificate
- Current FAA Commercial Pilot License or greater than 500 hours operating a Group 3-5 UAS with the Department of War (DoW)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience flying Group 3 and/or Group 4-5 UAS
- Piccolo Experience
- Demonstrated experience flying international missions
- Payload and Gimbal Operating Experience
- FAA Instrument Rating
- Previous qualification as a Pilot in command on a DoW UAS program
- Previous experience flying the LEAP or Ultra aircraft
