What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Account Manager - Veterinary Orthopedics position at InVictos Orthopedics?

InVictos Orthopedics is growing and we're looking for our first Regional Manager in the Midwest to build the territory from the ground up. If you love the hunt, thrive without a playbook, and want real ownership over a market from day one, keep reading.

About InVictos Orthopedics

InVictos Orthopedics is a veterinary orthopedic implant company built by the founders of Securos and Everost, two names veterinary surgeons already know and trust. Our flagship Elevation TPLO platform supports veterinary surgeons performing canine cruciate ligament repair with precision-engineered implants and instrumentation. We're a fast-growing, founder-led company building a best-in-class commercial organization from the ground up, and we're looking for people who want to build something meaningful alongside us, for the surgeons we serve and the animals they treat. One of our biggest strengths is how closely we work with our customers: gathering feedback, spotting opportunities, and using what we learn in the field to continuously improve our products. We're looking for people who share that mindset.

Here's the Scoop

The Regional Manager, Midwest is our first field sales hire in the region, a territory we've identified as one of the highest-priority markets in our launch sequence. This is a field-first, relationship-driven, quota-carrying role. You'll be the face of InVictos to specialty and referral surgeons across the multi-state Midwest region, building trust quickly, supporting cases directly, and earning the business one relationship at a time.

There's no existing InVictos playbook or territory to inherit here, you're building it. That means identifying and prioritizing target surgeons and practices, getting into the OR to support cases, and converting first-time trials into loyal, repeat customers. This role is built for someone who wants to own a market, not manage a maintained one.

As InVictos expands its field organization, this role is a proof point for how we build new territories and the person who gets Midwest right will be first in line for what comes next, whether that's a larger territory, a regional leadership role, or a hand in shaping how we launch future markets.

Responsibilities

Territory Development & Ownership

•     Build the Midwest territory from scratch; identify, prioritize, and call on target surgeons and practices across the state.

•     Develop and execute a territory plan that sequences the highest-value accounts first and builds sustainable coverage over time.

•     Own the full sales cycle from first contact through conversion and repeat use.

Surgeon & Account Relationships

•     Be present for cases and provide hands-on technical support that builds the kind of surgeon trust and confidence that drives repeat use, not just a single trial.

•     Build relationships with specialty and referral surgeons that make InVictos the trusted, go-to choice for TPLO cases.

•     Represent InVictos with the presence and credibility of someone a surgeon trusts in the OR, not just in a sales meeting.

Sales Execution & Quota Ownership

•     Own and deliver against an assigned territory quota, tracking pipeline and results with discipline.

•     Maintain accurate, up-to-date account and opportunity records in NetSuite CRM.

•     Work cross-functionally with marketing and the Chief Commercial Officer to align territory activity with broader company priorities and launch timing.

Market Presence & Intelligence

•     Serve as InVictos' eyes and ears on the ground in the Midwest region, surfacing market conditions, surgeon sentiment, and local dynamics that inform broader company strategy.

•     Represent InVictos at regional veterinary and surgical events as opportunities arise.

Key Accountabilities

The Regional Manager, Midwest will be measured on:

•     Territory quota attainment

•     New account acquisition and conversion rate

•     Active, ongoing relationships with priority surgeons and practices

•     Case and surgical support engagement

•     Pipeline accuracy and CRM discipline

•     Overall territory coverage and market presence within the first year

What Are We Looking For?

•     Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, animal science, or a related field preferred.

•     1-3 years in medical device or animal health field sales, ideally with direct surgical or orthopedic product experience.

•     Naturally curious, with a genuine interest in solving problems alongside surgeons, surgery teams, and teammates, and in bringing field feedback back to help improve our products

•     Comfort building a territory from zero; no existing book of business to inherit, no established playbook to follow.

•     Genuine ease in the surgical environment; someone a surgeon trusts in the OR, not just in a sales meeting.

•     Comfortable giving in-person presentations to veterinarians and other practice stakeholders, including to large groups as needed.

•     Ability to attend local, regional and national conferences, wet labs and other events as needed, which will include some weekends.

•     Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; comfort working with CRM systems and territory data.

•     Familiarity with and interest in using AI tools to work more efficiently strongly preferred.

•     Based within 1 hour to a major airport within the region (IL, IN, IA, KY, MI, MN, MO, OH, WI) with the ability to travel throughout the Midwest regularly.

•     Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Why You'll Succeed

•     You love the hunt, building something from nothing energizes you rather than intimidates you.

•     You take ownership of your territory and your number, and you don't wait to be told what to do next.

•     You're a natural relationship-builder who earns trust quickly, in the OR and out of it.

•     You're self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity, this is a startup commercial build, not a mature territory with an established process.

•     You bring genuine hustle and urgency to every account, every week.

•     You're genuinely curious, and you see every conversation with a surgeon as a chance to learn something that helps InVictos serve customers better and keep improving our products.

•     You see this as a chance to build a market and a career at the same time, not just fill a territory.

What Can You Expect from InVictos?

•     Earnings: Competitive Base Uncapped Commission Bonus comp plan

•     Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO

•     Field Support: Car allowance, travel and expense budget

•     Culture: A small, founder-led team where your results are visible, your voice matters, and your growth is genuinely invested in.
