We are a growth-focused, privately held manufacturing company with a strong commitment to quality, operational efficiency, and employee success. Our Northeast Ohio plastic extrusion facility is expanding, and we are looking for dedicated, detail-oriented team members to join us.
We're currently seeking a Setup Technician who can play a critical role in getting production lines running safely, efficiently, and to spec.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and complete setups on extrusion lines according to job specs
- Ensure all tooling, materials, and job information are accurate and ready prior to startup
- Perform dimensional checks using calipers, QC gauges, and Romi scans
- Monitor line alignment and process settings to ensure optimal efficiency
- Verify lines are in the correct mode and running within spec
- Operate equipment during production as needed to meet workload demands
- Document process conditions and update process sheets as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area (filters, tables, hoppers, etc.)
- Ensure all parts, tools, and materials are returned to designated locations
- Communicate clearly with incoming/outgoing shifts and supervisors
- Notify maintenance of any issues via internal request procedures
- Support safety and continuous improvement efforts across the floor
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
- Experience in a plastics manufacturing or extrusion environment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read and follow work orders, specs, and process documentation
- Proficient with hand tools and measuring devices (e.g., calipers)
- Self-directed, reliable, and able to follow structured processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
