Software Technical Lead – Datacenter Solutions
Location: United States of America, Danbury (Hybrid)
About the Role
We are partnering with a global engineering and technology company developing advanced HVAC solutions for mission-critical data center environments. Their products help ensure the reliable operation of modern data centers through intelligent cooling and environmental control systems. They are seeking a Software Technical Lead to drive the technical development of embedded software for next-generation HVAC devices. This role will focus on software architecture, technical leadership, cybersecurity, and integration with modern data center management standards, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient operation in critical infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical execution of embedded software projects for data center HVAC devices
- Define software architecture and translate system requirements into actionable technical designs
- Guide and coordinate internal and external software development teams
- Design and implement secure embedded software aligned with modern data center standards and OCP guidelines
- Integrate and maintain data center management protocols, including Redfish REST APIs
- Collaborate with Hardware, Sensing, Verification & Validation (I&V), and other engineering teams to ensure successful system integration
- Support integration of features from embedded platforms, including RTOS-based systems and Matlab/Simulink environments
- Drive technical decision-making and ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Communicate project status, technical risks, and progress to global stakeholders
- Mentor and support less-experienced engineers through technical guidance and best practices
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5 years of experience leading embedded software development projects
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field
- Strong background in technical leadership and project coordination
- Deep understanding of embedded systems, including sensing, control, and hardware-software integration
- Experience working with REST APIs and data center management protocols such as Redfish
- Understanding of cybersecurity and security standards for critical infrastructure, including OCP guidelines
- Proven experience working with cross-functional engineering teams (Hardware, QA, Validation, Systems Engineering)
- Ability to define software architecture and guide technical design decisions

Salary : $105,000 - $120,000
