Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Manager to preserve the company's integrity by making sure it stays on a lawful and ethical course. Lead the development of and adherence to in-house compliance polices. Work with executive staff to keep leadership well-informed about compliance and regulatory issues which affect the organization.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective legal compliance program
- Work with CFO to create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
- Advise senior leadership on compliance matters to protect both consumers and the Organization
- Oversees the development, communication, and implementation of lending policies
- Design and deliver staff training related to upholding compliance standards
- Create and manage action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations
- Act as a subject matter expert regarding state and federal loan servicing regulations
- Evaluate business activities and lending data to assess compliance risk
- Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or other related field, Certified Compliance Professional (CCP or CCEP) is a plus
- Five years' experience in compliance management
- In-depth knowledge of the industry's standards and regulations, specifically in regard to higher education loans
- Well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance
- Ability to think critically and identify potential exposure to compliance risks
- Excellent communication skills for training teams, preparing reports, and liaising with regulatory agencies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
