Duties
- Perform a wide range of analytical tests using techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography (gas chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography), and microscopy to assess product purity, potency, and stability.
- Conduct wet chemistry procedures assays to support research and quality assurance initiatives.
- Calibrate laboratory instruments including spectrophotometers and chromatography systems to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Maintain compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and other regulatory requirements during all testing activities.
- Manage laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data entry, sample tracking, and report generation to ensure traceability and data integrity.
- Support quality control processes by performing microbiological testing, microbiology assays, and supporting microbiology investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot analytical issues, optimize methods, and validate new testing procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related scientific discipline; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven laboratory experience in analytical chemistry, quality control, or related fields within regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of chromatography techniques (gas chromatography and HPLC), spectroscopy (spectrophotometry), microscopy, and wet chemistry methods.
- Familiarity with GLP principles, FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Experience operating laboratory instruments such as spectrophotometers, chromatographs, microscopes, and supporting calibration procedures.
- Proficiency with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data management and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex analytical data accurately.
