This role is for a Cloud/Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and validating core data capabilities within a large-scale recordkeeping platform. The position combines expertise in data engineering, cloud technologies, and software development to support complex, data-driven systems. The individual will lead technical efforts across define, build, and prove phases while working with large datasets, developing ETL processes, and optimizing database performance using advanced SQL and PL/SQL. The role also involves contributing to system resiliency, stability, and overall architecture in a cloud-based environment, with a preference for Azure. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of hands-on experience in data and cloud engineering. Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to mentor team members and continuously learn new technologies. Experience with performance tuning, Linux environments, shell scripting, and large-scale system design is important. Familiarity with distributed application development using languages such as Java, .NET, or Python is a plus, and prior experience in financial services is preferred.
