Duration: 12 plus months 40 hours per week Job Title: Sr. Network Systems Engineer Job Description: • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. • 7 years of experience in network engineering. Experience must include Cisco data center and campus networking including multi-site networking, Cisco firewall operations and advanced features, SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, VoIP networks. • Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, NAC, AD, remote access, switches, firewalls, UPS/PDU equipment, Voice and wireless network equipment. • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including voice, wireless access points, firewall, and switches. • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols. • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems. • Experience with structure data center, network cabling and wire management. • Network analyzers and Netflow experience. • Flexible, and able to work independently. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to complete multiple tasks, set priorities, and manage to critical deadlines. • Strong communication skills • Able to adapt quickly to new technologies and trends. • Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP, Wireless) preferred. Responsibilities: • Architect and implement new topologies to replace legacy Network on LAN/WAN/ WLAN and remote access. • Manage designed rack and cabinet equipment layout for data centers and telecommunication rooms. • Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate day to day network operation issues to other employees and management. • Build strong, positive partnerships with the business and IT organization. • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule. • Plan and manage after hours network interventions. • Implement disaster recovery procedures. • Keep up to date on related technology best practices and industry trends. • Monitor network performance and utilization for continual improvement plan. • Consult with vendors to troubleshoot IT services or provide solutions.
