About Into the Light

Into the Light (ITL) is a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that no child or survivor of sex trafficking and exploitation ever has to journey alone. Founded in Arkansas, ITL provides relationship-driven advocacy, crisis response, prevention, education, and specialized victim services to children, youth, and adults who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

ITL works collaboratively with law enforcement, child welfare, juvenile justice, medical and behavioral health providers, schools, faith communities, and community organizations across Northwest, North Central, and Central Arkansas to strengthen identification, response, and long-term support for survivors.

As Into the Light expands its continuum of care, the organization is pursuing CARF accreditation and Medicaid enrollment as a Community Support Services Provider (CSSP) to enhance sustainability and ensure access to trauma-responsive behavioral health services. This growth is intentionally designed to complement—not replace—ITL’s advocacy model, preserving survivor-centered, relationship-based support while adding clinically reimbursable services.

ITL is guided by a commitment to faith-integrated, trauma-informed, and ethically grounded practice, supporting both survivor healing and the well-being of staff who serve on the front lines of this work.
