What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Clinical Services (RN) position at Preferred Hospice of Missouri?
We are a well-established hospice company looking to add to our growing team. Regional Hospice has 3 offices covering the southwest corner of Missouri---Lebanon, Springfield, and Joplin.
We are currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to be the Director of Clinical Services and work as part of our hospice interdisciplinary team serving the Lebanon and Springfield areas. This RN would provide leadership over the clinical team.
The Director of Clinical Services is entrusted with the responsibility of caring for our patients, families, co-workers, and others. The primary purpose of this position is to manage the overall clinical operations of the organization in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as, company policies and procedures.
Salary based on experience in hospice and management. Benefits package will be discussed during an interview but includes a company car.
As a successful DCS, it will be important to have the following skills:
The DCS may be required to carry a case load as a case manager at times depending on staffing and census. The DCS may be required to fill in on call as needed. The DCS may be called upon to do admissions during and after hours as needed.
Hospice nurses see patients in private homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and anywhere a patient calls home. Hospice nurses provide symptom management and skilled care to patients facing terminal illnesses as well and providing emotional support and education on death and dying.
Primary hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some call/after hours required.
Basic computer skills and ability to use EMR required. Phone apps for clocking in.
