Delivery Driver

We are seeking an experienced, and reliable driver to retrieve and deliver parts, materials and tools to our various construction job sites around the DFW area. Additionally, the delivery driver will assist in general warehouse duties. This position is a daily report position to our headquarters in Forney, TX. The ideal candidate will be a self starter that is comfortable working in in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Class-C License.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a Drug Test (5 Panel).
• Must be able to pass a State and National (fingerprint) background check.
• Must be comfortable driving up to a 1 ton flatbed truck.

All applicants must sign a release and be able to pass background check which will include a criminal background check and department of motor vehicle check. Applicant must pass a drug screen.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.
• Pack and load products onto trucks according to company’s specifications.
• Deliver/Pick-up orders to/from various jobsites in DFW area.
• Maintain ongoing communication with Logistics Manager.
• Review deliveries with job foreman to ensure products are delivered in acceptable condition.
• Obtain delivery confirmations from each foreman.
• Assist in General warehouse upkeep (sweeping, organizing, general cleanliness)

Physical Requirements:

All applicants must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead. Lift 51 pounds, 20 times per day. Constantly move about on the feet. Complete full day assignments involving overhead work. Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas. All Drivers must meet applicable standards for licensed drivers in the State of Texas. This includes vision requirements.

Working Conditions:

• Drive up to a 1 ton truck on a daily basis.
• Work outdoors while loading and unloading goods. Work indoors while driving or filling out paperwork. Indoor temperatures may not be controlled.
• May be exposed to contaminants, such as diesel fuel or exhaust.
• will be required to wear protective or safety attire on a daily basis.
• Sometimes are exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures while working outside.
• May have to get into cramped positions to reach work spaces, such as the back of a truck.
• Are sometimes exposed to hazardous situations that might produce minor cuts or scrapes.
• Are occasionally exposed to bright or dim lighting conditions.
• Are occasionally exposed to whole body vibration when driving a truck.
• Sometimes deal with sounds or noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
• Work close to others, especially when unloading trucks.
• Deal with a high levels of traffic.
