What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Coordinator position at Intex Electrical Contractors, Inc.?
SCOPE OF WORK:
An Assistant Project Coordinator will work to support the Project Coordinator and Project Managers. An Assistant Project Coordinator will work under the guidance of the Project Coordinator.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As they are associated to the Construction Division:
- Develop, publish, issue, and maintain all project specific PO's.
- Negotiate and finalize all fixture, gear, and specialty project procurements.
- Develop, publish, issue, and maintain all submittals (Incoming & outgoing & tracking approvals w/Suppliers & Customers).
- Coordination with Project Managers regarding material/equipment releases and logistics.
- Coordinate applicable logistics with vendors, manufacturers, and transit companies.
- Manage all freight Claims, damages, returns, & defective materials
- Develop, publish, issue, and maintain all project closeout documentation.
- Prepare all monthly data reports for the development of financial projections.
- Prepare and distribute subcontractor work orders, incoming and outgoing after execution.
- Assist in preparing, sending out, and receiving all Subcontractor Agreements annually and as needed
- Assist Project Coordinator with preparing all submittals and closeout documents.
- Assist answering phones if necessary
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must hold a valid Texas electrical license.
- Must have basic mathematical and English language skills.
- Must have a current driver’s license
- Must have own reliable transportation
- You must be flexible to come in early and stay late as customer and project demands dictate
- Employee must be capable with business software, computers, and office machines
- Be able to work well in a “team” environment.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally; in written form and verbally.
- Have experience working with contract documents and applicable vendors.
- Have the ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in administrative practices.
- Have the ability to monitor own work to ensure quality.
- Have the ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach over head.
- Constantly move about on the feet.
- Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to access all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction, but acceptable for use.
- Possess good vision, normal or corrected.
- Possess good hearing, normal or corrected.
- Must be able to positively identify different colors.
