What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary position at Interstate Storage & Pipe Line Corporation?
Interstate Storage & Pipeline Corporation is a bulk fuel terminal that receives, stores, and ships jet fuel. The secretary is responsible for a variety of tasks throughout the day which can include monitoring shipments, scheduling fuel trucks, managing inventories and billing, and updating regulatory plans. The secretary maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the facility, working fairly independently and receiving a minimum of detailed supervision guidance. This position performs various clerical and secretarial duties requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the facility.
· Must have strong secretarial and clerical skills.
· Must be well organized, able to handle multitasking of paperwork, computer programs, and phones.
· Must have at least 2 years of college.
· Must possess strong math and writing skills.
· Must be computer literate in Excel, Word, Word Perfect, and Adobe.
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test with routine and random drug and alcohol testing thereafter.
· Must be local to facilities within 15-30 min driving time.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC Security Card.
· Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Government Common Access Card (CAC)
· Must be able to independently learn with the ability to pass and maintain various government program certifications.
· Must be able to obtain and keep current DOT/PHMSA Operator Qualification (OQ) certifications.
· Must have or be able to obtain an OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER Emergency Responder level.
· Must be a part of the company response team when necessary.
· Must be able to work extra or outside normal hours when the need arises.
· Must be able to perform a security walkabout throughout facility grounds daily, with hourly monitoring of tank levels via vista gauge at ground level during receipts and shipments.
· Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
· Previous experience with Military fuels and accounting requirements is a plus.
· Previous experience or certification in FMD Fuels Accounting is a plus.
· Previous experience or certification in Syncada Billing System is a plus.
· Previous training or certification with DESC Fuels transaction requirements is a plus.
· Previous experience in fuel or tank farm operation is a plus.
· Previous experience with truck scheduling and truck routing is a plus.
· Previous experience in basic billing transactions.
· Previous Emergency Response Training is a plus.
· Previous hazardous materials training, shipping, is a plus.
· Current Transportation Worker Security Card (TWIC) is a plus.
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
