Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Propane, the Propane Sales Representative is responsible for revenue generation by bringing in new propane business opportunities and maintaining existing business. In addition, the Propane Sales Representative is responsible in gaining and maintaining new propane business.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prospects for new business.
- Maintains relationships with current customer base to increase business.
- Submits detailed credit applications and other related paperwork.
- Works with credit department to supply additional documentation as requested.
- Tracks sales numbers to ensure gallons are increased on a yearly basis.
- Accepts calls of prospects inquiring about cardlock, fuel, oil, chemicals etc.
- Maintains and supplies personal vehicle in order to visit current customers and prospects.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Must maintain a clean driving record.

- Ability to prospect (cold call) for new customers.
- Follow-up on sales leads.
- Ability to multi-task and quickly manage changing priorities.

- Must be accurate & detail oriented in work deliverables.
- Ability to operate a computer.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in Propane industry and sales is required.
- Prior field sales experience required.
- Experience in commercial agricultural industrial or residential propane sales preferred.
- Experience with MS Office Suite preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely.
- Ability to work on computer/tablet 6 hours a day,
- Ability to navigate stairs and walking on a daily basis.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Extreme temperatures may be experienced when meeting prospects in the field (hot in summer; cold in winter).
