What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative (1572) position at INTERSTATE OIL COMPANY?
Under the supervision of the Director of Propane, the Customer Service Rep supports the Propane Division in providing Customer Service to Interstate Oil Propane customers as well as other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Serves as the primary contact for customers calling in for assistance.
- Performs credit checks to clear customers for delivery.
- Inputs and updates all customer account information.
- Works with other Propane Division employees (Sales, Dispatch, Propane Delivery Drivers) and other InterState Oil branches to coordinate customer service support as needed.
- Handles invoices, purchase orders and service work orders.
- Produces customer account aging reports for collections.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Responsible for other/additional duties as required by Supervisor/Manager
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Office environment with moderate noise.
- Must be able to sit and work at a computer for up to 8 hours a day.
