Interstate Equipment Company is seeking a Shop Manager/Yard Coordinator that will be responsible for the organization, maintenance, and movement of equipment at the Fort Worth yard. This role includes preparing equipment for sale, rental, or service, checking incoming equipment, loading outbound equipment, and assisting the service department with various tasks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Move, link, unlink, stage, and monitor all equipment within the yard to ensure proper placement, accessibility, and readiness for rental, sale, or service.
- Clean, wash, and detail equipment for rental, sale, or demonstration. Ensure equipment meets company standards before leaving the yard.
- Support the cleanliness and organization of the shop, company-owned equipment, and customer units.
- Assist the service team with various tasks, including running parts, loading equipment, jump-starting units, and documenting completed work as required.
- Perform additional tasks such as trash removal, equipment staging, and other duties assigned by management to support overall operations.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong teamwork and communication.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with CAT, John Deere, and Komatsu is a plus.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized shop and yard.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Self-starter with initiative and a proven ability to taken ownership of responsibilities.
- Ability to make informed decisions quickly and independently.
This is a full-time, exempt position.
