Interstate Battery is actively recruiting for a Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator with additional warehouse skills. Must be able to safely and efficiently operate a sit-down forklift & pallet jack to complete truck loading and receiving all deliveries.

Essential functions:

-Operate sit-down forklift with great accuracy and safety (Have great confidence in
transporting a 4-layer pallet of batteries, up 25 feet, safely racking in and out.)
-Move, lift, and unload product
-Check in orders and receive deliveries
-Maintain a clean work environment
-Pull/load orders

Physical Demands:
-Includes lifting and stacking, and loading up to 50 pounds
-Regular hand lifting and use of a manual hand cart and pallet jack
-The Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator, is labor intensive position requiring the physical ability to lift 35-50 pounds

Minimum Requirements:

- Work alone and/or with and around others
- Must have forklift experience
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must have reliable transportation

Experience:

- Forklift operator: 1 year (Preferred)
- Warehouse environment experience

Equipment Used:

- Forklift
- Pallet jack
- Dollies
- Testing equipment
- Pallet wrapping machine

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation:

• Approximately 51,200.00 for 1st to 90th day compensation
• Approximately 52,700.00 for 91st day and forward
• We provide uniforms - employee is required to purchase/wear steel toed shoes

Benefits: Health/ Life /Dental is offered after 90 days, with a $3600.00 yearly company contribution

Payroll is every other Friday - 26 paychecks a year

5 paid sick days

6 paid national holidays

One week paid vacation time after 1 year

Two week vacation after 2 years

Full time Job:

Monday through Friday.

6:15 AM to 5:00 PM
No weekend work
