Purpose Of Job

This role serves as counsel to the various business partners of the Enterprise involving variety of legal matters. The Corporate Counsel will assist in protecting the Enterprise’s legal interest and maintaining Enterprise operations within the scope established by law.

Job Components

• Draft, review, edit and negotiate contracts, including supply agreements, sales contracts, licensing agreements, sale and purchase agreements, consulting agreements, leases and other commercial agreements (50%).
• Support the Environment, Health & Safety Team by staying abreast of relevant laws and regulations, providing legal interpretations, and assisting in the drafting of policies and procedures (15%).
• Provide counsel to various business units regarding the legal risks associated with certain activities (10%).
• Assist in managing small scale litigation matters which may include preparation of responses and negotiation of settlements (5%).
• Advise the Talent Group on domestic and international employment matters (15%).
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned (5%).
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership.
• 2-5 years of legal experience.
• Law firm experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters.
• Ability to travel.
  
  

Work Environment

• Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
• Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, and talk and hear.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 20 lbs.
• Warehouse environment when traveling in field (temperature fluctuations).
