Overview
Interscope MFG is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & CSR Specialist to become part of our team. The perfect candidate will handle customer accounts billing, track incoming payments, and maintain precise financial records to ensure prompt cash flow and outstanding customer service. Your expertise in financial concepts and accounting software will empower you to analyze accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and support our revenue cycle management efforts.
What you’ll do
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft for data entry and reporting
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements
- Accurately generate and send invoices to customers on time
- Answer phones and process orders over the phone payments
- Process payments received and apply them to customer accounts
- Keep track of accounts with overdue payments and follow up with clients when necessary
- Ensure all entries are made promptly for proper weekly reports and reconciling
- Collaborate with the company controller
- Communicate effectively with internal teams on orders to be processed
- Communicate effectively with customers on orders and incoming POs
- Assist the finance and operations team with additional accounting and/or administrative tasks as needed
Basic qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles
- Proficiency in data entry with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate payment arrangements with clients
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft 365, with the ability to learn the company’s proprietary software
- Strong attention to detail along with excellent organizational abilities
- Effective communication skills and problem-solving capabilities
- Capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a manufacturing setting
