Position Overview
International Motors is seeking a Technology Monitoring and Observability Engineer to design, build, and scale enterprise-wide observability and event management capabilities across complex hybrid and cloud-native environments.
This role will contribute to the transformation of monitoring capabilities into a scalable, service-centric observability platform that enhances system reliability and provides the foundation for auto-scaling and auto-healing capabilities.
This is a hands-on technical role that will be responsible for architecting and implementing technology monitoring telemetry pipelines across applications and infrastructure, driving AIOps capabilities and ensuring CMDB-driven service visibility.
The ideal candidate combines deep cloud-native software expertise with the ability to standardize and optimize monitoring to enable AIOps.

Responsibilities
Observability Architecture & Implementation
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise observability solutions spanning infrastructure, cloud, and applications.
- Standardize the collection and ingestion of metrics, logs, traces, and events using modern telemetry frameworks.
- Build API-driven integrations across monitoring, ITSM, and automation systems.
- Develop reusable dashboards, service level objective templates, and alerting standards.
- Continuously tune detection thresholds, anomaly models, and signal quality.
- Establish enterprise best practices for monitoring & observability.
- Engineer advanced event correlation, deduplication, and noise reduction strategies.
- Implement topology-aware alerting models integrated with CMDB service mapping.
- Develop anomaly detection and predictive monitoring use cases.
- Design and deploy automated remediation workflows triggered by events.
- Drive measurable reduction in the proportion of human responses required to validate alerts and to resolve the underlying conditions that trigger alerts.
- Integrate observability tooling with CMDB platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Improve configuration item (CI) reconciliation, discovery patterns, and service mapping accuracy.
- Enable dynamic service models that support impact analysis and root cause identification.
- Establish automated data validation and quality controls.
- Lead initiatives to significantly reduce incident volume through:
- Intelligent alert tuning
- Automated remediation
- Service-aware event management
- Improved configuration accuracy
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of Information Technology or IT Architecture experience
- At least 1 years of lead experience
- Master's degree and at least 3 years of Information Technology or IT Architecture experience
- At least 1 years of lead experience
- At least 8 years of Information Technology or IT Architecture experience
- At least 1 years of lead experience
- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. - Experience influencing senior technology stakeholders.
- Proven track record of enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Experience implementing enterprise observability platforms.
- Strong knowledge of CSDM or comparable service modeling frameworks.
- Experience implementing AIOps or event intelligence platforms.
- Background in large, multi-domain enterprise environments.
- Experience in integrating monitoring platforms (infrastructure, network, cloud-native, APM).
