Responsibilities as an IT Manager:
- Manage and mentor help desk team members, ensuring prompt and effective IT support across the business
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting for advanced technical issues, including network, workstation, and server-related problems
- Identify skill gaps within the team and provide targeted coaching to develop their technical depth
- Work closely with global applications and infrastructure teams to resolve escalated issues and improve processes
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and support services as needed
- Document and improve IT support procedures and best practices
- Contribute to team growth and maturity by fostering a proactive, problem-solving culture
Qualifications and Skills as an IT Manager:
- 5-7 years of IT experience, with some leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong hands-on skills in Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and networking
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Experience managing or coaching IT support/help desk teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users
- Degree preferred but not required; equivalent professional experience accepted
- Familiarity with mainframe infrastructure and applications, not required but nice to have
- Relevant IT certifications (.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL), not required but nice to have
- Experience working in a manufacturing or multi-site environment, not required but nice to have
