IT Manager

Responsibilities as an IT Manager:

• Manage and mentor help desk team members, ensuring prompt and effective IT support across the business
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting for advanced technical issues, including network, workstation, and server-related problems
• Identify skill gaps within the team and provide targeted coaching to develop their technical depth
• Work closely with global applications and infrastructure teams to resolve escalated issues and improve processes
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and support services as needed
• Document and improve IT support procedures and best practices
• Contribute to team growth and maturity by fostering a proactive, problem-solving culture

Qualifications and Skills as an IT Manager:

• 5-7 years of IT experience, with some leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong hands-on skills in Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and networking
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Experience managing or coaching IT support/help desk teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users
• Degree preferred but not required; equivalent professional experience accepted
• Familiarity with mainframe infrastructure and applications, not required but nice to have
• Relevant IT certifications (.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL), not required but nice to have
• Experience working in a manufacturing or multi-site environment, not required but nice to have
