Role Description
The Local Coordinator will oversee day-to-day responsibilities including recruiting volunteer host families, placing international students in suitable host homes, providing ongoing support to students and families, and ensuring compliance with program regulations. Additional tasks include building community awareness about cultural exchange programs and assisting in conflict resolution when needed. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hope, Arkansas.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships in local communities
- Organizational and administrative skills for managing recruitment efforts and program compliance
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills for addressing challenges between participants and host families
- Cultural sensitivity and enthusiasm for fostering cross-cultural understanding
- Experience in education, youth programs, or community outreach is a plus
- Proficiency in using digital tools for communication, scheduling, and record-keeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
