International Student Exchange (ISE) is seeking a dedicated Local Coordinator to support high school exchange students and host families in your community. Each year, ISE creates life-changing opportunities for over 2,500 international teens to experience American culture while living with welcoming host families and attending local high schools.

- Open school doors – Partner directly with high school administrators to get students enrolled and set up for success from day one.
- Create perfect matches – Use your insight and intuition to pair international students with the ideal host families and schools where they'll thrive.
- Be the go-to support – Stay connected with students, families, and schools all year long, making sure everyone feels confident and supported.
- Check in and problem-solve – Meet regularly in person to see how things are going and jump in to help whenever challenges pop up.
- Bring everyone together – Plan and host three memorable gatherings throughout the year where students, families, and friends celebrate cultures and create lasting memories.
- Represent ISE in your community – You're the friendly face and trusted voice of the program – the person everyone turns to for guidance and connection.

About Our Students
Our well-screened exchange students are typically ages 15-18 and come from countries around the world eager to experience American high school life and culture. Students arrive with their own spending money for personal expenses and are covered by comprehensive medical insurance throughout their stay, so host families have peace of mind knowing healthcare needs are fully addressed.

- Do you understand that this is an exciting 1099 contractor opportunity with per-placement pay (not regular paychecks), designed as a flexible side gig rather than a traditional employee position—giving you the freedom to work independently, set your own hours and goals, and make a real impact on students' lives?
- the US State Department requires Coordinators to conduct in-person visits with host families and exchange students throughout the year, which means you get to be the friendly face who checks in, builds relationships, and sees firsthand the amazing connections happening!
