Position: MDS Coordinator RN
Job Description:
As an MDS Coordinator, you play a vital role in promoting the physical and emotional well-being of residents by utilizing the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and Minimum Data Set (MDS). Your responsibilities include formulating, implementing, and monitoring individualized care plans while ensuring compliance with medical and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Functions:
- Direct day-to-day functions of the MDS Office in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure adherence to MDS guidelines and coordinate services with other resident services.
- Participate in quality assurance/performance improvement programs.
2. Specific Duties:
- Conduct MDS assessments on admissions, annually, quarterly, and during significant changes.
- Perform routine MDS charting duties in accordance with established policies.
- Assist in staff development by standardizing work methods.
3. Safety and Sanitation:
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
- Participate in fire safety, disaster preparedness drills, and infection control programs.
4. Residents' Rights Functions:
- Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved RN/LPN program.
- Current AR Registered Nurse (RN) or LPN license required, or recent graduate.
Working Conditions:
