The International Student Exchange (ISE) is thrilled to announce the expansion of its high school international exchange student program across the beautiful state of Missouri! We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and community-minded individual in Warrensburg, to join our team as a Community Representative and help us create unforgettable cultural exchange experiences. This is a unique opportunity to connect with local families, schools, and organizations, and play a vital role in bringing people together through international education.
What You’ll Do
- Engage with local community members and high schools to identify and screen potential host families
- Conduct interviews and home visits to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
- Match American host families with international high school students based on compatibility and shared interests
- Provide ongoing support to host families and students throughout the exchange experience
- Promote cultural understanding and global connection within the community
- Outgoing, friendly, and professional personality
- Strong communication and organizational skills
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to professionally build trust and maintain confidential relationships
- Interest in global cultures and community engagement
- Experience in education, community outreach, or customer service is a plus

- Do you understand that this is a freelance, independent contractor (1099) position. As an independent contractor (IC), you are self-employed and responsible for your own taxes and business expenses. This is not a traditional employee position with a fixed weekly or hourly wage?
- ICs can earn up to $2,600 for successfully completing 3 host family and exchange student placements (with unlimited earning postential), plus qualify for free international group travel for completing 8 host family & student matches by August 31st. Does this align with what you are looking for?
- ICs are expected to conduct a minimum of six in-person meetings with exchange students and host families throughout the duration of the exchange program and to maintain regular monthly communication. Are you able to fulfill this requirement?
