The International Student Exchange (ISE) is thrilled to announce the expansion of its high school international exchange student program across the beautiful state of Missouri! We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and community-minded individual in Bolivar, to join our team as a Community Representative and help us create unforgettable cultural exchange experiences. This is a unique opportunity to connect with local families, schools, and organizations, and play a vital role in bringing people together through international education.
What You’ll Do
- Engage with local community members and high schools to identify and screen potential host families
- Conduct interviews and home visits to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
- Match American host families with international high school students based on compatibility and shared interests
- Provide ongoing support to host families and students throughout the exchange experience
- Promote cultural understanding and global connection within the community
- Outgoing, friendly, and professional personality
- Strong communication and organizational skills
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to professionally build trust and maintain confidential relationships
- Interest in global cultures and community engagement
- Experience in education, community outreach, or customer service is a plus

Application Question(s):
- Do you understand that you are hired as an independent contractor (IC) and not an employee of ISE?
- IC's are required to meet in person with the exchange students and host families the match six times during the academic year homestay, and to contact the student monthly. Will you be able to provide this service?
- Compensation as an independent contractor for ISE is based on a per-placement basis, not as an employee with weekly or hourly pay. Most representatives devote 3-4 hours weekly to recruiting host families. Does this align with what you are looking for?
