Position Overview
The Senior Technology Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality instructor-led and digital training programs for commercially available and proprietary software applications. This role supports enterprise technology adoption by translating complex system functionality into clear, engaging, and effective learning experiences for diverse user groups. The ideal candidate brings deep instructional design expertise, strong technical communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
I. Education Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
II. General Experience
Experience with:
◦ Developing and delivering in-person Instructor Led training for commercially available and proprietary software.
◦ Delivering customer training programs using adult learning principles to individuals and groups of users.
◦ Using technical applications to support training development such as Camtasia, Articulate 360, Vyond, etc.
◦ Managing training projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Ability to:
◦ Use methodologies to plan, track, and deliver high-quality technical training.
◦ Develop technical documentation for commercially available and proprietary software (Quick Reference Cards, Quick Reference Guides, content for the web, etc.).
◦ Develop video and interactive recorded training to support technical processes.
◦ Coordinate multiple tasks, resources, and stakeholders effectively.
◦ Organize and manage time effectively to handle concurrent training initiatives and deadlines.
Knowledge of:
◦ Customer service standards when interacting with internal and external Subject Matter Experts.
◦ Identification and troubleshooting of user-defined challenges and implementing appropriate solutions.
◦ Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Co-Pilot, OneNote, and SharePoint.
III. Specialized / Preferred Experience
• At least five (5) years’ experience as a technology trainer with proprietary and/or advanced off-the-shelf software (such as Microsoft Teams, Co-Pilot, OneNote, SharePoint, etc.).
• Three (3) or more years’ experience developing technical documentation.
IV. Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, develop, and deliver hands-on instructor-led training for commercially available and proprietary software applications.
2. Plan and develop documentation, training videos, and instructional design modules for commercially available and proprietary software applications.
3. Communicate with the Contract Manager on project plans, status, and updates for each assignment.
