Class A - CNC Operator - Full Time
1st Shift CNC Machine Setup/ Operator- Full Time
Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Pay Range $26.00-$31.00 per hour
Summary: We seek a skilled Class A CNC Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC machines to perform precise machining tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of machining principles, the ability to make basic G-code edits, and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to ensure the accurate production of precision components.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up as directed, operate, and adjust CNC machines to produce quality parts
- Use, read, and interpret precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments
- Adjust tooling and offsets as needed to maintain part quality
- Monitor equipment for proper operation and troubleshoot minor machine issues
- Maintain accurate production documentation and records
- Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times
- Reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences
Education and experience:
• 2 years of proven experience, or CNC related Tech School degree, to independently set up/operate CNC machines
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and related documentation
- Solid understanding of machining fundamentals, including feeds, speeds, and tool life management
- Sharp attention to detail and strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications are a plus
