We are seeking a Class A CNC Machinist to join our Turning department. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up, as directed, various CNC turning machines to perform precise machining tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of machining principles, the ability to make basic G-code edits, and troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to ensure the accurate production of precision components.
Work Hours: 1st shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and adjust CNC vertical and horizontal lathes to produce quality parts.
Set up as directed, per company operating procedures.
Use, read, and interpret precision measuring instruments (manual micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
Perform first piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precise measuring instruments.
Adjust tool and offsets as needed to maintain part quality.
Monitor machines for proper operation and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
Maintain accurate production and records.
Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times.
Reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 yrs Machining Tool Program or Work Experience required.
- Strong Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and related documents.
- Solid understanding of machining fundamentals, including feeds and speeds, and tool life management.
- Prior experience with Doosan's is highly preferred.
- Attention to detail and strong troubleshooting/ problem solving skills.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
