The Test Lead-Automation is responsible for leading the automation strategy, governance, administration, and enterprise adoption of Tricentis tools across the organization and will serve as the primary point of contact for automation solutions built using Tricentis Tosca, while also supporting and governing related tools such as qTest and NeoLoad.
This role will be responsible for driving automation best practices, framework adoption, reusable asset creation, tool administration, CI/CD integration, reporting, license/utilization oversight, and support for project teams.
The lead will work closely with QA teams, DevOps, business stakeholders, and vendor partners to ensure Tricentis tools are effectively implemented, optimized, and aligned with organizational quality engineering goals.
The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on automation knowledge with leadership, governance, stakeholder coordination, and tool administration capabilities.
Selected candidate is required to work in Lisle office 4 days a week.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for Tricentis automation tools, especially Tosca, and lead enterprise automation initiatives across projects and program
- Define and drive the overall automation strategy, standards, framework approach, and best practices for Tricentis tool usage.
- Lead design, development, maintenance, and governance of scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation assets using Tosca.
- Act as tool administrator for Tricentis platforms including user setup, role/access management, workspace configuration, project setup, license monitoring, and tool hygiene.
- Support administration and governance of qTest for test management and NeoLoad for performance testing in alignment with enterprise QA processes.
- Establish naming conventions, folder structures, reusable component strategy, execution standards, and repository management practices for automation assets.
- Collaborate with QA leads, business analysts, developers, DevOps teams, and project managers to identify automation opportunities and prioritize automation scope.
- Drive automation integration into CI/CD pipelines and ensure automated tests are embedded into build, deploy, smoke, regression, and release workflows.
- Support teams in automation feasibility assessment, test case selection, automation design, script development, execution planning, and defect reporting.
- Monitor automation health, execution success rates, script stability, reusability, and maintenance needs, and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership in debugging automation failures, environmental issues, synchronization problems, and tool-related execution bottlenecks.
- Define and track KPIs and metrics such as automation coverage, pass/fail trends, script stability, reusability, execution duration, and defect detection efficiency.
- Work with Tricentis/vendor support teams to resolve tool issues, performance concerns, licensing challenges, and product defects.
- Build and maintain integration between Tricentis tools and enterprise systems such as Azure DevOps, Jira, CI/CD tools, SSO/authentication systems, and reporting platforms.
- Guide and mentor automation engineers and testers on Tosca automation standards, modular design, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, office hours, and enablement sessions to improve adoption and effective use of Tricentis tools.
- Oversee qTest integration and usage to ensure traceability across requirements, test cases, execution cycles, defects, and release reporting.
- Support NeoLoad adoption and governance for performance testing planning, execution, result analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure proper versioning, backup, repository discipline, and access control for enterprise automation assets.
- Work closely with infrastructure and environment teams to ensure automation execution environments are stable, available, and scalable.
- Lead efforts to reduce flaky tests, improve execution reliability, increase asset reuse, and optimize automation run time.
- Support release readiness and provide automation status, risk assessment, and quality insights to leadership and delivery stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to automation maturity, process standardization, tool optimization, and enterprise quality engineering.
- Coordinate across globally distributed teams and multiple vendors to ensure consistent adoption of Tricentis automation standards.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of information systems/information technology experience
- At least 1 years of lead experience

- Strong hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of qTest and NeoLoad is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in leading automation initiatives across large enterprise programs.
- Strong experience in creating automation frameworks, reusable libraries, modular test assets, and maintainable test design approaches.
- Experience in Tricentis tool administration including user management, workspace/repository setup, access controls, licensing, and governance.
- Strong experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines and supporting continuous testing in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle, defect lifecycle, release management, and test management processes.
- Experience in automation of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve script issues, execution failures, tool limitations, and environment dependencies.
- Experience working with enterprise tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Jenkins, Git, or similar platforms.
- Strong reporting and metrics capability with ability to present automation KPIs and insights to stakeholders and leadership.
- Experience working in Agile delivery models and collaborating with globally distributed teams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Experience in Manufacturing or complex enterprise environments is strongly desired.
- Ability to mentor teams, define standards, and drive adoption of enterprise automation practices.
- Tricentis certifications in Tosca, qTest, or NeoLoad is mandatory
