We are seeking a Materials Planner to join this high‑performing team and play a critical role in keeping our production operations running smoothly and efficiently.

As a key member of our materials management organization, you’ll be at the center of our supply chain—anticipating material needs, preventing shortages, optimizing flow, and ensuring every component arrives exactly when it’s needed to support production. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where problem‑solving, clear communication, and proactive inventory management make a real impact every day. As a Materials Planner, you will monitor and schedule material movement throughout the entire supply chain and production cycle, ensuring the right parts are in the right place at the right time to support our world‑class powertrain manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, proactive relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent part availability and uninterrupted production support.
  • Own all Material Requirements Planning (MRP) parameters for your assigned part numbers, ensuring accuracy, stability, and optimal inventory levels.
  • Interpret and act on production demand signals, understanding how schedules translate into material needs across the manufacturing process.
  • Coordinate engineering change timing for current-production products, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to the production line.
  • Collaborate daily with Purchasing, Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering to resolve issues, support build plans, and keep materials flowing efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

OR

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing or supply chain/logistics experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with the ability to interpret data and make proactive decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite, including the ability to analyze data, create reports, and manage planning tools effectively.
  • A strong sense of urgency, with the ability to respond quickly, prioritize effectively, and keep production moving without interruptions.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling clear, confident interaction with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and plant operations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track details, and stay ahead of changing production needs.
  • Intuitive and resourceful, able to anticipate issues before they arise and identify solutions early.
  • Proactive mindset, consistently taking initiative to resolve problems, improve processes, and ensure material readiness.
