Position Overview
International has a great opportunity for 2nd Shift Machinists in our Huntsville Facility to support high‑volume production through the operation of CNC and PLC‑controlled machinery to produce precision, high‑quality components.
These are full‑time positions with consistent hours, competitive pay, and growth opportunities.
Ideal candidates have experience in automation or CNC machine operation, and excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Schedule
- 2nd Shift | Monday – Thursday
- 8pm – 6:00am
Pay
- 0–1 year experience: $25.60/hr 6% 2nd shift differential
- 2 years: $27.27/hr 6% 2nd shift differential
- 3 years: $28.94/hr 6% 2nd shift differential
- 4 years: $31.16/hr 6% 2nd shift differential
- 5 years: $33.67/hr 6% 2nd shift differential
Additional Pay
- $1,000 sign‑on bonus - Paid after 90 days of employment
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CNC/PLC equipment to meet control plan requirements
- Troubleshoot alarms, faults, and perform minor repairs to maintain production
- Record defects, rework, and scrap per nonconformance procedures
- Monitor tooling wear and perform tool changes to ensure quality
- Partner with team members on process improvements and error‑proofing
- Train and certify machine technicians to quality and performance standards
- Review work instructions and control plans; escalate deviations as needed
- Enter production and quality data and review digital performance metrics
- Verify gage calibration and monitor critical characteristics
- Proactively assess equipment to minimize downtime
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards; maintain a clean work area
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. - Must be willing to work any shift
- Must achieve an acceptable score on a situational/skills based interview
- Physical requirements (ability to the following for up to 10 hours per shift):
- Walk, sit, stand
- Lift, carry, push or pull up to 20 pounds
- Head/neck movement
- Reach outward or above the shoulder
- Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces
Desired Skills
- Positive attitude and alignment with International’s values
- Technical College certificate in Machine Tool Technology or similar discipline is a plus
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-performance manufacturing environment
- Computer-literate
- Customer-focused and results driven
- Metal-cutting machining experience is a plus
- Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and GD&T is a plus
- Experience operating production machinery is a plus
