International Drivers Academy is a Washington State certified driving school and Department of Licensing Testing Center located in Bellevue, WA. Established in 2007, the academy serves the Seattle and Bellevue areas, providing comprehensive driving instruction in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). We specialize in defensive driving and safety skills to help new drivers, newcomers to the U.S. or Washington State, and individuals looking to gain confidence behind the wheel. Our current services include adult driving packages, traffic safety education, knowledge and driving tests, and consulting, with plans to expand to additional driver education offerings in the future.
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Bellevue, WA, for a Driving Instructor at the International Drivers Academy. The Driving Instructor will conduct behind-the-wheel driving lessons, evaluate students during driving tests, and provide clear and constructive feedback to help students develop safe and confident driving skills. Additional responsibilities include teaching road rules and defensive driving techniques, preparing students for written and driving exams, and ensuring training aligns with Washington State regulations and safety standards.
- Expertise in Driving Instruction and Driver Training, with a passion for educating and mentoring new drivers
- Knowledge and practical experience in Road Safety and defensive driving techniques
- Experience in Truck Driving or advanced driving skills is a plus
- Proficiency in creating a positive and supportive learning environment
- Strong communication skills with an ability to teach students from diverse cultural and skill backgrounds
- Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record
- Past certification or qualification in driver training or instruction is preferred
