SWERVE Driving School Seattle is hiring Driving Instructors for our Seattle locations. Starting pay $25/hour for training with an increase to $27/hour upon licensing and an increase to $29/hour with a Certified Testing Endorsement (in house training provided), plus 401(k), PTO, and flexible scheduling. This role requires eligibility for Washington State Department of Licensing instructor certification; training provided. Full-time and part-time positions available.

Position Overview
Driving Instructors are responsible for teaching safe driving practices, traffic laws, and responsible decision-making through behind-the-wheel instruction and, when applicable, classroom or testing environments.
This position requires licensure and approval by the Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL). Training is provided for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Instruct students on safe driving techniques and traffic laws in both classroom and practical settings.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their driving skills.
- Foster a positive learning environment by utilizing strong communication skills and engaging teaching methods.
- Adapt instruction for multilingual students to ensure comprehension and success.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of driving experience
- No driving license suspensions within the past 3 years
- Ability to meet all eligibility requirements for Washington State Department of Licensing instructor certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain required DOL instructor license and testing endorsement (training provided)
Employment is contingent upon eligibility for and maintenance of Washington State Department of Licensing certification.
