International Door, Inc. is the leader in manufacturing of industrial and hangar doors for over 45 years. Located in Canton Michigan, our company is currently seeking a serious and reliable Field Service Technician who is self-motivated to join our team. This position is for full-time employment Monday-Friday and some Saturdays with benefits. The role of a Field Service Technician includes installation, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair and preventive maintenance of industrial and commercial doors. This position reports to the Service Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Executes Field Service Technician’s process
-Handles diagnosis, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance- both mechanical and electrical.
-Maintain accurate record keeping.
-Able to demonstrate proficiency in trouble shooting and repair of equipment using standard procedures.
-A commitment to work outside in the elements and availability to be on-call for emergency situations.
-Ability to work cohesively with internal and external customers ensuring complete satisfaction with time, service and delivery.
-Leadership-must be able to listen and respond to customer needs, work closely and effectively with other departments.
-Complete Field Service Reports in accordance with field service work instructions.
Qualifications:
- 2 Years of experience
- Highly motivated, results driven and be able to work independently and make decisions with little guidance.
-Able to work from heights/on ladder
-Good Driving Record
-Must have a driver’s license
