Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations & Sourcing
- Execute procurement activities for materials, components, and equipment supporting ICT’s US operations, including structural materials, fan systems, mechanical components, and consumables, aligned with operational needs.
- Manage purchase orders from initiation through delivery, ensuring accuracy of specifications, quantities, pricing, and timelines.
- Apply procurement best practices, cost‑control measures, and demand forecasting approaches informed by corporate procurement strategy.
- Review technical purchase requirements and coordinate with operations or engineering to ensure material suitability (leveraging technical understanding from cooling‑tower operations).
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key US suppliers, specialty vendors, and service providers.
- Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, resolve fulfillment issues, and identify alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate risk.
- Monitor market trends, cost drivers, and lead times to make data‑driven sourcing decisions.
Warehouse & Inventory Oversight
- Provide leadership to the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and compliance with receiving, storage, and distribution processes.
- Coordinate material flow between warehouse, fabrication, and field operations to support project schedules.
- Support inventory auditing, cycle counts, and forecasting to maintain optimal stock levels. Insights adapted from inventory-management duties in the Supply Chain Coordinator
Cross-Border & Logistics Coordination
- Support logistics and freight planning for domestic shipments; collaborate with head office for international procurement as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with US import/export requirements when coordinating materials from Canada or international vendors, referencing customs coordination practices
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Directly supervise the Procurement Coordinator, including task assignment, performance review, and skill development.
- Provide oversight guidance to the Warehouse Manager, ensuring alignment with company standards and operational needs.
- Support process improvements within procurement, warehouse, and overall supply chain operations.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Implement continuous-improvement initiatives to streamline procurement workflows, reduce costs, and shorten cycle times.
- Ensure procurement practices comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing principles.
- Maintain accurate procurement records in ERP, CRM, and related business systems (based on similar ERP/CRM expectations)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing—preferably in construction, industrial services, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and cost‑control methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and construction drawings (informed by Planner role).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in ERP, CRM, procurement software, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cooling tower, industrial construction, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Experience overseeing warehouse logistics or material management.
- Familiarity with international logistics, customs compliance, and cross-border supply chains.
- SCMP, CPSM, or similar professional designation (or in progress).
