Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools to maintain floors and surfaces.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while practicing safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to ensure high standards of sanitation.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed to support the upkeep of the building.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial work with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or general custodial responsibilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to sanitation, chemical handling safety procedures, and industrial cleaning standards.
