Job Description

The Division of Enrollment Management is looking for an Admissions Officer II to support international admissions and recruitment. In this role, you will review and evaluate international academic credentials, advise prospective students and campus partners, and occasional travel to represent UF at recruitment events across the U.S. and internationally.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

International Credential Evaluation

  • Evaluate academic records for international undergraduate, graduate, and certificate applicants to determine admission eligibility.
  • Research and verify international credentials using internal resources and external evaluation agencies.
  • Serve as a resource for prospective students, UF staff, and academic departments regarding international credential requirements.
  • Advise faculty coordinators on admission policies, degree comparability, and transfer credit.
  • Assist in developing and improving processes for credential review and application finalization, including managing holds and deferral requests.
  • Maintain updated resources and guides for international credential evaluation.

Student Support and Communication

  • Respond to inquiries from prospective international students and families via phone, email, and virtual platforms.
  • Provide clear guidance on admission requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Support campus-based and virtual admissions events, including presentations at the UF Welcome Center.

Recruitment and Outreach

  • Identify key international markets and assist with planning recruitment strategies and events.
  • Represent UF at recruitment events with occasional overnight travel (approximately 2–4 weeks annually), both domestically and internationally.
  • Operate a state vehicle for travel as needed.

Other Duties

  • Participate in holistic review of freshman applications.
  • Keep current on international education practices through research and professional development.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Expected Salary

$55,000 annually

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid Passport, or ability to obtain
  • Required immunizations for international travel, or ability to obtain

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively in complex environments
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated abilities in problem solving and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with international credential evaluation
  • General knowledge of regulations governing student visas
