Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Technician/SLPA to join our team. This role involves working with students to provide direct speech therapy services as well as working with staff to provide support in behalf of students.
Responsibilities
- Implement speech therapy techniques to enhance communication skills.
- Collaborate with educators, parents to support patient progress.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding speech and language development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early intervention strategies, particularly in pediatric settings.
- Proficient understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech therapy.
- Excellent patient assessment skills to evaluate communication disorders effectively.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care while fostering a supportive environment.
- Experience working within school systems is a plus, enhancing collaboration with educational staff.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
