About Our Travel Program
Intermountain Health is a nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Our caregivers who join our travel program enjoy assignments at locations throughout the Western Slope of Colorado, Denver Metro, and Montana areas. All travel assignments are on 14-week rotations.
Housing reimbursement is available for assignments working 50 miles or greater from your home, with amounts determined by the assigned site location. Receipts are required to be submitted within 30 days of transaction date.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee and troubleshoot the operation of equipment for optimal patient care.
- Initiate Respiratory Protocol according to department criteria.
- Ensure that progress of patient is communicated to staff, physicians, and other departments.
- Recognize the educational needs of patients and families in relation to health promotion and wellness.
- Accurately document productivity information.
- Monitor supplies and equipment and notify appropriate person when supplies are low, out on loan, or broken.
- Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
- Identify potential safety hazards that may create problems for patients and/or staff and take appropriate actions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program for Respiratory Therapy.
- One (1) year of hospital experience including critical care as Therapist.
- Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Colorado.
- Ability to obtain Respiratory Therapist License in the state of Montana.
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) course completion card.
- ACLS/NRP/PALS certification as appropriate for unit or service.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
- Certification as appropriate for the unit or service preferred.
