Travel Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist for a 9-week travel assignment in Lakewood, CO.
Requirements:
- One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC
- Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory interventions and support for patients with acute respiratory problems, as well as routine care for chronic respiratory disorders.
- Administer respiratory treatments, monitor equipment, and educate patients and families on proper usage of respiratory therapies and devices.
- Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under the guidance of physicians or RRTs.
- Administer aerosol medications and oxygen therapy.
- Set up and monitor equipment to ensure patients receive the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate.
- Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment.
Skills and Abilities:
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
- Physical abilities: remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending.
- Technical/motor skills: ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
- Sensory: visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
