What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales position at Intermountain Concrete Specialties?
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to grow revenue and increase market share.
- Prospect and secure new business with general contractors, concrete contractors, builders, developers, and construction professionals.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and support.
- Promote and sell concrete accessories, construction products, and jobsite solutions that help customers work efficiently and safely.
- Conduct jobsite visits, product demonstrations, and customer meetings to identify opportunities and provide value-added solutions.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and project bids while negotiating pricing and contract terms.
- Serve as a trusted resource by providing product knowledge, technical guidance, and problem-solving support.
- Track sales activity, customer interactions, and opportunities using CRM software.
- Monitor market trends, construction activity, and competitor offerings to identify new opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, contractor meetings, trade associations, and networking functions.
- Collaborate closely with inside sales, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven success in outside sales, business development, or account management.
- Experience in the construction, concrete, building materials, industrial supply, or related industries preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction projects, contractor workflows, and jobsite operations.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building lasting partnerships.
