The Role
You will own the Idaho Falls territory: developing new accounts, growing the ones we already have, and being the person crews in eastern Idaho call when a pour is on the line. You will work out of our Idaho Falls branch and spend most of your week in the field, on job sites and in contractor yards, not behind a desk.
What You Will Do
- Build and manage a book of business across general contractors, concrete and flatwork subs, excavators, and developers in the Idaho Falls market
- Prospect actively: cold calls, job site visits, plan rooms, bid boards, and referrals from existing accounts
- Quote and close product, equipment, rental packages and forming and shoring
- Learn our customers' work well enough to recommend the right tool, mix of products, or process change without being asked
- Coordinate with counter sales, the yard, dispatch, and credit so what you promise is what gets delivered
- Manage pricing and margin on your accounts, and keep your pipeline, quotes, and account activity current in our CRM
- Represent ACS at Demo Day, supplier training, and industry events
- Hit and exceed agreed-upon sales and margin targets for the territory
What We Are Looking For
- Two or more years of outside sales, or hands-on construction experience plus the drive to move into sales
- Working knowledge of concrete construction, building materials, or construction equipment (strongly preferred)
- A track record of finding your own opportunities rather than waiting for leads to arrive
- Comfort on an active job site and credibility with the people working on it
- Strong follow-through: quotes go out when you said, calls get returned, problems get owned
- Valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record
- Comfortable with quoting and CRM systems, or quick to learn them
- Willingness to travel throughout the territory, with occasional overnight travel for training or events
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $65,000-$80,000 plus commission on your territory, with no cap on what you can earn
