Insurance Litigation Associate

We are seeking an Insurance Coverage / Insurance Litigation Associate to join a top-tier defense litigation law firm in Seattle. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to work on sophisticated insurance coverage and litigation matters in a collaborative, collegial environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
• Investigate insurance claims and prepare comprehensive coverage opinion letters.
• Provide strategic insurance coverage advice across a variety of insurance lines.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices to deliver exceptional client service.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and practical analysis of case developments.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Washington Bar membership.
• Minimum of 5 years of defense litigation experience, with 3 years of insurance coverage and coverage litigation experience preferred.
• Experience drafting insurance coverage opinions and handling first-party and/or third-party claims.
• Strong coverage analysis, legal writing, and research skills.
• Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions.
• Deposition, mediation, and courtroom experience preferred; trial experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters effectively in a fast-paced environment while delivering outstanding client service.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary Range: $150,000 – $200,000, depending on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
