An established Am Law 100 firm is seeking an Associate with 3 years of health care litigation experience to join its team in Boston, New York, or Washington, DC. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation attorney with strong experience in complex matters involving healthcare clients, government enforcement actions, and FCA-related investigations. You will work closely with a collaborative national team advising healthcare companies and providers on high-stakes disputes, internal investigations, and regulatory matters.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and support False Claims Act (FCA) investigations, including internal investigations into healthcare fraud
- Assist with government inquiries and qui tam actions
- Represent healthcare clients in complex litigation, enforcement actions, and related disputes
- Manage all aspects of discovery, including document review and production
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
- Research and analyse healthcare enforcement trends, compliance regulations, and state fraud and abuse laws
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm in accordance with a hybrid working model (approx. 60% in-office)
Qualifications
- JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted or eligible for admission in MA, NY, or DC
- 3 years of complex litigation experience, ideally involving government enforcement or white-collar matters
- FCA-related litigation experience strongly preferred
- Judicial clerkship experience is a plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated professionalism when engaging with high-demand clients
- Ability to prioritise multiple deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Strong team collaboration skills
