Interior Design Project Manager

Interior Design Project Manager | Belmont, MA

Working Style: In Office | Full Time

We are seeking an Interior Design Project Manager to support our residential design projects. In this role, you’ll work closely with Lead Designers and the design team to contribute to all phases of residential interiors, from concept development to installation. You’ll gain hands-on experience collaborating with clients, vendors, and contractors, while helping deliver residential interiors that reflect their brand and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of design concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and material selections.
• Prepare drawings, presentations, and design documentation using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design software.
• Support project organization, including schedules, budgets, and procurement tracking.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and clients as needed to support project delivery.
• Participate in site visits and installation walkthroughs, assisting the team with problem-solving and quality checks.
• Maintain accurate project files, samples, and documentation for design and construction purposes.
• Collaborate with the design team, contributing ideas while learning workflow processes and best practices.
• Uphold high standards of design quality, client service, and teamwork.
• Develop and manage project timelines, selections, onsite walk-throughs, accuracy, and schedules.
• Support in preparing and presenting design proposals and material samples to clients.
• Participate in the conceptualization and development of design ideas through installation, including the final punch list.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6 years of experience in Residential Design.
• Strong design sense, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Mac Software, Adobe Suite or similar).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented with a team-focused attitude.
• Interest in residential interior design, materials, finishes, furnishings, and construction processes.
• Flexibility to attend local site visits and client/vendor meetings as required.
