Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse ( RN )

As an L&D RN, you will:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, postpartum, & High risk OB patients in a fast-paced hospital setting during a 13-week contract Assignment.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being through continuous assessment, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and timely interventions.
- Administers medications, IV therapies, and assists with epidural procedures and treatments while ensuring patient safety and hospital procedures.
- Collaborates with OB's, anesthesiologists, neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to coordinate patient care.
- Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, respond to medical emergencies, and adhere to all clinical standards.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Participate in continuing education and maintain documentation to remain in compliance.
A few must-haves for L&D RNs:
- Active RN or Compact license within the state of Indiana
- Active Certifications Required: BLS & ACLS through the American Heart Association, NRP & STABLE also required.
- 2 years of recent and related experience, as required by the facility
- 2 years of recent experience circulating for C-sections
- Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure
- Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility
